Make Peace – Beatitudes Part 7

by Dixon Law Office

In this series of posts, we have been reviewing the Sermon on the Mount and how they apply to personal injury and wrongful death cases.  Today's verse is Matthew 5:9 in which Jesus says,

"God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God." Matthew 5:9 (NLT)

People who complain about litigation“ particularly those for personal injuries “ sometimes argue that it is wrong Biblically.  They argue that God does not want us to sue each other but to simply turn the other cheek.  This perception is wrong but so common.

At Dixon Law Office, we work for peace in all we do.  We give the wrongdoer every opportunity to fix the wrong he or she caused.  We work very hard to make sure that if the person who cause the car accident, the truck accident, medical malpractice, or nursing home abuse wants to fix the problem, they can.  Even after a lawsuit is filed, we try to make peace with the wrongdoer.  We do that because it helps our client.  We do that because it is right.

But make no mistake: that does not mean we simply cave in.  Just the opposite.  If a wrongdoer refuses to do what he or she should, we use the court system to force them to. When the driver of the truck who caused the death of another refuses to be accountable for what he has done, we bring the case before the judge and jury and let them tell him he did wrong.  When the nurse who caused the nursing home abuse denies her wrongdoing, we show the jury how she acted and let them force the accountability.

Working for peace is a big part of what we do.  Dixon Law Office lawyers have been doing it for decades.  When we work for you, we will seek peace.  However, we will demand your rights be satisfied.  We are proud to do that.  If we can help you or a loved one, please call us today.
