Heart – Beatitudes Part 6

by Dixon Law Office

In this series of posts, we have been reviewing the Sermon on the Mount.  Looking at the beatitudes of Jesus, we examine the principles highlighted by Jesus as they relate to our work as lawyers, to our clients and the legal system.

"God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God." Matthew 5:8 (NLT)

Unlike most of the other beatitudes, this verse is not found in Luke's gospel.  This is a tough scripture for most Christians.  We have to confess our hearts are rarely (if ever) completely pure.  That is why it is so difficult.

Our "hearts" here refers to our focus.  Are we pursing things for ourselves or others?  Are we seeking fame and fortune or justice?

At Dixon Law Office, we have been called to seek justice for our clients.  We do that today, and our lawyers have done it every day for over 25 years.  When a client comes in seeking fame, fortune or "going after" someone, we say no.  But when a client comes in seeking justice, we step in and help them.  In those cases, we are play a part in helping our clients achieve the justice they deserve.  We are proud to do that.  If we can help you or a loved one achieve justice, please call us today.
